World's Edge held an event today to celebrate "Age of Empires" 25th anniversary. The first announcement was the long-awaited ports of the series on Xbox. "Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition" will launch on January 31st, 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, with "Age of Empires IV" set for release later that year.
Also announced was "Age of Empires Mobile" bringing the iconic franchise to mobile devices in the near future. "Age of Empires IV" will also be receiving an anniversary update with new civilizations, challenges, and more.
Finally, "Age of Mythology" make its return with "Age of Mythology Retold" remastering the original game in the same vein as the definitive editions of the other "Age of Empire" games. No release date was given for the remaster
