A new report by Jason Schreier has confirmed that Embracer Group has shut down Onoma, formerly known as Square Enix Montreal. The studio behind "Lara Croft Go", "Hitman Go", "Deus Ex Go", and many more titles had recently been purchased by Embracer Group from Square Enix, alongside studios Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.

The company stated that they want to focus on PC and console gaming, as opposed to the mobile space. This comes along with the news that Eidos Montreal is now focused on three titles in the space. The first is a new IP, while the second is a co-development with Playground Games on the "Fable" reboot.

The third title is a brand-new game set in the Deus Ex universe. The series hasn't had a new title since 2016's "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided". This most likely confirms that Eidos Montreal will not be making a sequel to last year's "Guardians of the Galaxy".
