Since its reveal at E3 2019, Crystal Dynamic's "Marvel's Avengers" has been plagued with a cycle of bad news. After a rough launch in 2020, struggling to find an audience, and staggered updates to the game, Crystal Dynamics is calling it quits.

The final update to the game, Update 2.8, will release on March 31. The patch will include the last balance changes and will see all marketplace items, items that previously cost real-world money, become free for all players to use. Player's remaining credits will be converted as shown in the table above. September 30, 2023 will see full support for the game end, as the game will also be delisted from all platforms.

The game's single-player and multiplayer content will still be accessible after this date. This includes all limited-time modes rotating every two-weeks after the September date. But, if issues arise, Crystal Dynamics cannot guarantee that they will be able to fix any of those problems.
Crystal Dynamics is currently underway on a new Tomb Raider title in collaboration with Amazon Games, and assisting in development with Microsoft's "Perfect Dark" reboot.
