Yesterday, Konami brought us a special Silent Hill presentation. After many years of dormancy, the Silent Hill franchise makes its long-awaited return.

The first announcement was a remake of "Silent Hill 2" from Bloober Team, the devs behind "The Medium" and "Layers of Fear". Built from the ground up on Unreal Engine, the remake will see the return of artist Masahiro Ito and Composer Akira Yamaoka to the franchise. The remake will release on PC and be a console launch exclusive for PlayStation 5.

The second title announced was "Silent Hill Townfall". The smaller title will be developed by No Code, the team behind "Stories Untold" and "Observation", and published by Annapurna.
Also announced were "Silent Hill Ascension", a real-time interactive series that will have fans make choices live, and a new film titled "Return to Silent Hill".

The final announcement was "Silent Hill f", which will be the next main-series title. The game will be developed by Neobards Entertainment and written by acclaimed-manga artist ryukishi07. The title seems to be the first Silent Hill title set in Japan, instead of America.
