Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2022 took place yesterday night with tons of new announcements and awards given out.

Dozens of new games and updates were announced. Below you will find a mini-recap of what was shown off.


Announcements

  • Dead Cells Return to Castlevania, is a brand new expansion for the game collaborating with the iconic Castlevania franchise

  • Vampire Survivors is now on mobile devices

  • Valiant Hearts 2 will be coming next year to Netflix

  • Returnal will launch on PC in 2023

  • Hellboy Web of Wyrd will bring Mike Mignola's iconic art style to life in video game form

  • A new trailer for Horizon Call of the Mountain was shown off

  • Post Trauma, a new horror game was announced

  • Viewfinder, a new indie game with a take on perspectives

  • Atomic Heart got a brand-new trailer

  • Scars Above, a third-person shooter set on a desolate planet

  • Relic Hunters Legend, a new looter-shooter with a unique style

  • Replaced got a brand new trailer showing off more of the game's beautiful art style

  • Street Fighter 6 gave us a look at 4 new characters and a release date of June 2nd

  • Hades II, the sequel to the highly-acclaimed Hades, will be the first sequel developed by Supergiant Games

  • Judas, from the mind of Ken Levine, creator of Bioshock, was announced

  • Bayonetta Origins Cereza and the Lost Demon will be a Bayonetta prequel taking the form of a storybook-like game

  • Destiny 2 Lightfall got a brand new trailer

  • Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League will feature the final performance of Kevin Conroy as Batman and release on May 26

  • The Last of Us will release on PC on May 3

  • Jedi Survivor gave us a first look at its gameplay and will release on March 17

  • Earthblade will be the next game from the creators of Celeste, releasing in 2024

  • Dune Awakening, an online MMO, got a brand-new trailer

  • DS2, a sequel to Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding, was announced with an eye-dropping new trailer

  • Immortal of Aveum will be a first-person magical shooter

  • Tekken 8 gave us a first look at its gameplay with some character reveals

  • Nightingale gave us a brand-new trailer featuring umbrellas

  • Baldur's Gate 3 will leave early access and release in August 2023
