"The Super Mario Bros. Movie" Nintendo Direct Recap

Today's Nintendo Direct gave us our first look at Illumination's "The Super Mario Bros. Movie".

The trailer gave us our first look at Mario and Bowser, along with some other side characters from past Super Mario games. We also got to hear what Chris Pratt and Jack Black sound like in their respective roles as Mario and Bowser respectively.

"The Super Mario Bros. Movie" will be the second attempt at adapting Mario to the big screen, with the last attempt being 1993's "Super Mario Bros." movie starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo in the title roles. Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto has worked very closely with Illumination on the film and said he is very excited about the fan reaction to the film.

Starring the talents of Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Seth Rogen, and Charles Martinet, "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" is set for release on April 7th, 2023. Watch the trailer below.
